How do you define STEM?

STEM is the integration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics that prepares children to use these skills in the real world. No one ever asks “When will I ever use this in the real world?” when you are doing a STEM activity.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired when students who are not your stereotypical “high achievers” are successful, and excited about learning.

If you were able to be an Olympic athlete in any sport, which sport would you choose and why?

I would be a swimmer (butterfly) because I secretly wish that I was a dolphin.

How do you define STEM?

STEM creates independent and innovative thinkers that understands the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering and math and can apply critical thinking and problem solving skills across the disciplines.

What inspires you?

Teachers that manage to do it all and have a positive outlook at the same time.

If you were able to be an Olympic athlete in any sport, which sport would you choose and why?

I think finding bargains and good deals should be an Olympic sport. I would be a gold medalist and World Record holder!

STEM is an area that every child can succeed and excel in. STEM is a subject that every student is always highly engaged.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by my students. When my students light up when they discover they can be successful after several attempts at trying something makes my day!!!

If you were able to be an Olympic athlete in any sport, which sport would you choose and why?

Ice skating. I would love to be able to move that gracefully over the ice.
